Why a doctor needs an LED medical pen light?

It is obviously understood that doctors and nurses use an LED pen light or  medical pen light for search or seek something under desks or in cabinets.However,it might be out of your imagine that in some test ,an LED pen light is not replaceable.

In a Pupil test,The doctor will carry an LED pen light to look through your eyes and see how your eyes constrict and compare to a pupil chart. The light  illuminating by  a medical pen light will shine into your left eye while the right eye is shielded. constriction will take place.

Afterwards, A swinging flashlight will be done.The doctor will move an led pen light from one eye to the other every few seconds.If both eyes have same react or response when a medical pen light shines.This is often used to check reflex or brain functions.

Doctors and nurses will need to look through patients' room to check patients status in middle night. They need to see clearly the patient while not disturbing others. Therefore, an Led pen light will be helpful and effective for you.
